I was born in Iowa, and folks tell me that the state has become increasingly charming in recent years. Unfortunately, under the terms of my parole, I am prohibited from visiting Iowa except via long-distance phone calls to radio stations.
As someone who lives in Iowa, I would say that this time of year is not the most charming part. Either there’s too much snow or not enough and everything just looks dead. So you’re not missing much this time of year. At least in NE Iowa….
