Perhaps after Bush is censured all prisoners in America should be set free and given the same treatment as Bush.

Cheney should then be slapped in the face with a white glove.

Mr. Bovard,
This is what we get when our nation is populated by folks who devote their time off to "reality TV" and get their "news" from the likes of Faux News(?) and CNN, etc.
Without an informed citizenry we get this sort of crap from the top down. We the people get screwed, again and again.
We get lead by the nose and foget that ALL the politiciians work for US. The way things are today in America, one would think they we the people work for the politicians. That is NOT how this constitutional republic was set up.
It IS how things work today.
The founders would look at what we have allowed to happen and, if they had the whole thing to do over, would probably just swear an oath to support the king.
What a sad, sorry mess we have made for ourselves.
And now, thanks to Shrubbie, even being against the damn war is a crime.
semper fi,

Jim,

Once again you have stated the reasons and the rationale for Bush's razor thin victory. Coupled with whatever shenanigans they had going on in Ohio and the various voter registration tricks they had every where else, Bush Co sent us even closer to the loss of the ability to vote for the pathetic choices we usually get.

Lately i have been reading about Jefferson and his belief that only an educated people could perpetuate democracy. Though he (and the other framers) held on to racist notions that had not yet crumbled, i think they would be sorely disappointed with our choices in recent election.

Don't think for one minute that Team Evil's constant raising of the Pavlov's dog color bar was accidental back during those vivid days of 2004.

...and Tory is right, kind words for Feingold, Paul and Kucinich.

Our rulers are crooks. No ?

Usually we (the sheep) get blamed for all this attention deficit democracy. But given the magnitude of the shrub's tendency for lies how can anyone blame us. :-) The shrub is a pathological liar.

They're all liars and they're all socialists.

Russ Feingold is the only one who opposed the patriot act. He's called for the censure of the President. Good for him. He's a democrat and a patriot (Ron Paul's a patriot too).
