I can tell you he came over extremely well. I was hand fed by news media people fresh hay from govt operated and funded communal farms. Me and all my fellow sheep loved him - to us he was the greatest shepard of them all.

Was it his reign (of fatherhood) that created the concept of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS ? You know what I'm referring to, the concept that now trumps the Constitution (and limits most free speech). It still haunts many of us today. The concept even infected conservatives; they used it to silence and label war critics.

The shrub has created a great vacum. His destruction is not a good enough excuse to elect another socialist. Hold on, hold on now; show some moderation. Our presidencies have created many victims.

The 'political correctness' concept (principle) has made the 'n' word (nazi) a profanity. That and the emotion 'denial' have created a giant coverup of an important truth (that would be politically incorrect to discuss anywhere).

To all the proponents of the 2nd amendment, the Clinton reign was the darkest years and will never be forgotten. Obama will be a painful reminder. He will pick Supreme Court Justices who will use 'political correctness' to find new and undiscovered meanings (and govt privileges) in the only sentence contained in the 2nd amendment.

Hypocrisy and denial will once again climb to new and higher levels. McCain/Palin are the lesser of the two evils, and someone has to take over the flock anyway.

Adam - thanks for the kind words on the book.

"intellectual mistakes over the last 500 years" - ??? That seems like going back a little far.

I think western political thinking was on fairly firm ground at least through John Locke - and probably David Hume.

The Founding Fathers had not been infected by Rousseau, so that's why this country did not try to achieve freedom via guillotines.

Dirk - "bipartisan clusterboink"?

Damn, that's a good one.

I'll have to use that the next time I go to dinner at the White House.

This was the first book of yours that I actually read. I was amazed by the findings. The Clinton Years (soon to be a sitcom on CBS) will be remembered as the year that the "Sappy State" began. People have had the divine rights of Kings, Parliaments, and Populace, but Clinton inaugurated the era of the Sappy or Silly State. It demands respect, but is totally unworthy of praise. It takes money from you and abuses you, but invites you out for a cold beer on the weekend. The Silly State demands loyalty to itself only to train its subjects to be one-worldists. The Silly State that he describes in his book is the culmination of the 200 year struggle between the twin nihilisms of Conservatism and Liberalism.
And yet for all his wretchedness, Clinton was not the grand champion of baby-talking, finger-wagging tyranny. Your book is a reminder that Clinton was not "the worst president we ever had, but the worst person to occupy the presidency" I really hope that people re-read this book as a reminder that tyranny isn't fast in coming but moves like Kudzu to take over our lives. The accumulation of the intellectual mistakes over the last 500 years resulted in the 20th century and its bastard child, The Silly State.

Oh but wait, with our anointed media darling Mr. Clinton, we are afforded the heartwarming spectacle of
the August Clinton Initiative Summits where the cur dogs of our Establishment convene and are exhorted to break off a chunk of their cash and help the oppressed and diseased and the bipartisan
clusterboink leaves all feeling warm and fuzzy all over and connected to their fellow man and woman and indeed shemales .

I have a suggestion. Every Corporate Titan and Banking Freebooter who is bailed out with this $700 Billion crisis relief package should be required to spend 6 months with former President George W. Bush as he plays "Pip" whilst reading "Great Expectations". Maybe after they're done with this brain basting exercise, they will have little stomach for partaking in the famed Clinton displays of Kennedy Body Language and these parasitical Elmer Gantry's will leave us all the hell alone.

I know, I know, I'm always an optimist
