…and I thought that I had an eye for sleaze. Those people in the photos are almost too creeeeeepy to believe. Did you have to take a shower (with your camera) after taking them? Ewww.

It was a pleasure meeting you there Jim 🙂

I’m going to do what I can to get you to Liberty Forum next year.

I enjoyed our chat. It’s refreshing to run into someone who can disagree on John Brown without wanting to hang me from the nearest oak tree.

That Bob Dole necktie – I would be concerned if you were a moderate Republican, but obviously, a bright red tie doesn’t mean the same as it did back in 1985.

Good luck with the Free State Project – I hope y’all can turn that state and this country around! And I would certainly enjoy the Liberty Forum nextt year.

Larry – Just before John Bolton posed for another photographer, he walked over and put his briefcase and other stuff in the chair right next to mine (I was on the verge of being interviewed by Brian Wilson). Bolton gives me a big old smile like we was old buds…..

Luckily, I have enough cigar smoke residue around me to ward off most of the germs from warmongers…

Politics has always been more than a little carnivalesque in this country but there was at least a gloss of respectability, however thin over the more carny aspects of it. Now, the Carny has gone mainstream and politics has successfully blended organized sports with the circus . The most amazing exhibit is the one they call “The Amazing Vanishing American Dollar” where a group of acrobats bounce around with a rubber check while your money vanishes.

One used to be able to enjoy the more tawdry elements of the show because some things of use and reason came out of it. No more kimosabe, its all a bad burlesque with big money sets: Weimar without the teutonic flair for dark comedy. Its HeeHaw trying to look like “Der Ring des Nibelungen”

The standards are all just shot to hell. The cult of self esteem has made amateurism a bit canabilistic.

But the dollars are not vanishing for the type of political rascals exploiting CPAC…

This is a good place to go for the comic elements of American politics – and even a few tatooed women.

Very creeeepy indeed. I need some xanax after just looking at these pictures to keep my skin from crawling away.

I didn’t have any Xanax with me, but the Sam Adams proved a good antidote.
