I think his definition of democracy differs significantly from mine or yours.

The book does do an excellent job tracing the decline of civil liberties and due process in a heap of countries.</description>

		<description>This does sound like a good book, but I do object to the notion that what the author is describing is an undemocratic revolution.

Much of what he says, at least as far as the U.S. and Europe goes, is really the fulfillment of democracy.  I mean, really, where does he expect all of the looting institutionalized through "democracy" will lead to?  Where does he expect all of the citizens cheering on their masters in fighting enemies will lead to?

It seems to me that he may be worried about the decline of due process, civil liberties, equality under the law, human rights, and many other things that are quite different (though they sometimes coexist with) democracy.</description>
