If NYPD had killed this cyclist, they might have sent Next-of-Kin a bill for the body bag

New York Post reports today that the New York Police Department sent a $1263  bill to a cyclist who was struck by an unmarked police car.  The Post’s account makes it sound like the police car sideswiped the biker. Otherwise, the cops might have written their victim a ticket.

The Post reports: “The case is at least the third in recent months in which the city has billed people for damages to police cars that hit people.”

Is it any wonder that so many urban cyclists are anarchists?
