My Cannoneering, Then and Now

The photo on the left is from a family visit to the Gettysburg battlefield in 1966.  The photo on the right is from this past weekend at the Fredericksburg, Va. battlefield.  The main difference is that I long since abandoned the Confederate cap for an “F Troop” style hat.   Plus, the beard.  Okay, and maybe an increase in across-the-board scruffiness.

Also, instead of pretending to fire the cannon, I am now content to brandish a camera lens cover.

Congrats on trading yesterday’s cannons into today’s computer keyboards, bomb shelling easy targets inside the beltway. Cheers.
