Regarding the <\/strong>lawsuit<\/strong> <\/a>over the Barr 2008 Presidential Committee’s $47,000 debt to me for ghostwriting Bob Barr’s Lessons in Liberty<\/strong> —<\/p>\n

Russ Verney, Bob Barr’s 2008 campaign manager, admitted to the Washington Post<\/strong><\/em> <\/a>that “We owe him some money and we intend to pay it.”<\/p>\n

And then Verney came up with the best fundraising idea of the year:\u00a0 “If Bovard’s sending out press releases about it, he could add a donation button. We could use it.”<\/p>\n

So not only did I have to write the [@#$$#] book – but now I am supposed to\u00a0raise the [@#$#]\u00a0money so\u00a0they can pay me for the work I did?<\/p>\n

What next?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Suggesting\u00a0the Federal Election Commission impose a retroactive surcharge on anyone who voted for Barr in 2008? Or? Or?<\/p>\n

It is things like this that make it difficult for me to retain my youthful idealism regarding politics.<\/p>\n

Bob Barr will be giving the keynote speech at the Libertarian National Convention on Saturday.<\/p>\n
