Guilty But Clueless: Special Counsel Verdict On Biden<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

Did a Special Counsel report officially launch the Biden administration Death Spiral?<\/strong><\/p>\n

President Joe Biden is not guilty because he is hopelessly clueless about his own life and career.<\/strong> That is the tacit verdict of Special Counsel Robert Hur, who concluded that Biden \u201cwillfully retained and disclosed\u201d classified information, which \u201crisked serious damage to<\/a> America\u2019s national security.\u201d If anyone else did this, they would be federal crimes.<\/p>\n

But Biden cannot be convicted of a \u201cfelony that requires a mental state of willfulness,\u201d the Special Counsel concluded \u2013 apparently because Biden\u2019s mind is gone. Uncle Joe is little more than \u201can elderly man with a poor<\/a> memory,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n

The Special Counsel report stated that \u201cBiden\u2019s memory was significantly limited\u2026 in his interview with our office in 2023.\u201d\u00a0 Was \u201csignificantly limited\u201d a euphemism for \u201cundetectable?\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden \u201cdid not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended.\u201d Pathetically, Biden asked the interviewers: \u201cWhen did I stop<\/a> being Vice President?\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden \u201ccan\u2019t remember, even within several years, when his son Beau<\/a> died\u201d \u2013 even though Biden never misses a chance to seek sympathy from audiences by mentioning that death.<\/p>\n

Biden exempted himself from federal law long ago. Biden presumed that former Vice Presidents had a divine right to disclose federal secrets to their ghostwriters. Biden told his ghostwriter in 2017 that information was classified but later claimed to the Special Counsel that he didn\u2019t really mean \u201cclassified.\u201d The Special Counsel found that assertion \u201cnot justified\u2019<\/a> based on Biden\u2019s \u201cnearly fifty years of experience dealing with classified information.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report denigrated Biden\u2019s recall in the 2017 recorded interviews with the ghostwriter as \u201coften painfully slow, with Mr. Biden struggling to<\/a> remember events and straining at times to read and relay his own notebook entries.\u201d But his memory was even \u201cworse\u201d in 2023, the Special Counsel lamented.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, American politics has become almost as infantilized as Biden\u2019s recall. Team Biden\u2019s biggest fear was that the Hur report would include jolting photos of classified documents recklessly strewn around Biden\u2019s home and garage. Bingo!<\/strong><\/p>\n

But who amongst us have not stored notebooks full of top secret information underneath their TV<\/a>, as Biden did in Delaware?\u00a0<\/strong> The report noted that classified Afghanistan documents were found \u201cin a badly damaged box in the garage, near a collapsed dog crate, a dog bed, a Zappos box, an empty bucket, a broken lamp wrapped with duct tape, potting soil, and synthetic firewood.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Special Counsel report concluded that if Biden was prosecuted for violating the law, \u201chis attorneys would emphasize these limitations<\/a> in his recall.\u201d<\/p>\n

But how can Biden be fit for the presidency if he is unfit to prosecute? If Biden is re-elected, should the official Oath of Office<\/a> be modified to promise to \u201cfaithfully execute the Office of President of the United States\u2026 on days that I remember that I am President?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s legal team denounced the Hur report for \u201cinvestigative excess\u201d that resulted in \u201ctrashing\u201d<\/a>\u00a0 Biden \u201cwith extraneous, unfounded and irrelevant critical commentary.\u201d But the Special Counsel did not take an oath to hide Biden\u2019s debility from the American people.<\/p>\n

The 388-page report provides perhaps more insights into the commander-in-chief than perhaps Hur intended. Congressional Republicans should demand to see the full transcript (or video) of the Special Counsel\u2019s five-hour interview with Biden. There were likely other Biden blackouts as bad or worse as those revealed in the Special Counsel report.<\/p>\n

The White House compounded the damage from the report with a hastily-called press conference<\/a> that was dominated by President Biden screaming at reporters. \u201cMy memory is fine!\u201d he asserted. When a female reporter asked about voters\u2019 concern about his age, Biden finger-pointed and growled: \u201cThat is your judgment! That is your judgment! That is not the judgment of the press!\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden took no personal responsibility for the violations of federal law recounted in the report.<\/strong> The president angrily derided what he called \u201cthe extraneous material\u201d in the report.\u00a0 Biden again played the Beau card to exonerate himself \u2013 or at least get sympathy. The report stated that Biden \u201ccan\u2019t remember, even within several years, when his son Beau<\/a> died.\u201d Biden raged: \u201cHow in the hell dare he raise that question\u2026 I don\u2019t need anyone to remind me when he passed away.\u201d Biden declared that \u201cI wear since the day he died the rosary he got Our Lady of \u2026\u201d and then his voice faded off, perhaps because he forgot the name of the church.\u00a0 Biden proclaimed, \u201c I am the most qualified person in this country be to be President of the United States.\u201d \u00a0Biden also bizarrely claimed that he had vowed to be a president for everybody \u201cwhether they were from a red state or a green state.\u201d Is \u201cgreen state\u201d defined by more than 20% of residents owning a Tesla, or what?<\/strong><\/p>\n

He also declared, \u201cThe bottom line is the matter is now closed.\u201d But the president doesn\u2019t reap bonus points for an active fantasy life. <\/strong><\/p>\n

But there was no applause from a White House press corps, some of whose members had wondered if Biden would announce his resignation that night. Even Biden\u2019s allies were bailing ship, per the NBC News headline: \u201c\u2019A nightmare\u2019: Special counsel\u2019s assessment of Biden\u2019s mental fitness<\/a> triggers Democratic panic.\u201d<\/p>\n

This report should not expunge the brazen political racketeering by Team Biden on the classified documents. After sending a massive FBI squad to raid Trump\u2019s Florida home, the Biden White House delayed admitting that the president may have violated the same law until after the congressional mid-term elections. Biden and his advisors \u201cgambled that without going<\/a> public, they could convince the Justice Department that the matter was little more than a minor, good-faith mistake,\u201d the New York Times<\/em> reported early last year. Biden initially sought to dismiss the controversy over his classified documents as an uproar over \u201cstray papers\u201d that he kept \u201cin a locked garage.\u201d He later shrugged off photos of a box of documents next to his old car: \u201cBy the way, my Corvette is in a locked garage, so it\u2019s not like they\u2019re sitting out on the street.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ironically, one year ago, White House officials told the New York Times<\/em> that Biden\u2019s defense on the classified documents controversy will rely on his \u201cdecades-long reputation for integrity and honesty.\u201d Apparently, Team Biden did not have a Plan B.<\/p>\n

The Special Counsel report exonerating Biden\u2019s abuses will make it more difficult to convict former President Donald Trump for the same offenses. Predictably, Trump issued a statement denouncing \u201cA TWO-TIERED SYSTEM<\/a> OF JUSTICE AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL SELECTIVE PROSECUTION!\u201d<\/p>\n

The media is ignoring the criminality of the Washington status quo \u2013 creating trillions of pages of new secrets each year. But blindfolding American citizens is a victimless crime inside the Beltway. Other poohbahs have been caught violating federal secrecy laws but skated without a day in jail. As Hunter Thompson quipped, \u201cIn a closed society where everybody\u2019s guilty, the only crime is getting caught.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a speech to the House Democratic Caucus Thursday afternoon, Biden claimed victory because the Special Counsel \u201creach[ed] the conclusion\u2026 that there are no charges<\/a> that should be brought in this case.\u201d Does Biden not even realize he has just been certified as mentally incompetent for office? Nixon was famous for asserting, \u201cI am not a crook.\u201d Will Biden achieve equal notoriety for proclaiming, \u201cI am not mentally incompetent?\u201d<\/p>\n

Or perhaps this proclamation from Thursday night will be his epitaph: \u201cI know what the hell I\u2019m doing.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prior to the report\u2019s release, I jotted a note in my working file for this article: \u201cBIG QUESTION \u2013 will Democrats exploit the report to push Biden off the plank?\u201d The answer remains to be seen. Maybe holding another press conference will solve all of the president\u2019s problems? Having to angrily defend your mental competence is a difficult starting place for redemption.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
