Kamalaflage: Dems race to expunge the evidence of Harris’ leftist history<\/a><\/h1>\n

Vice President Kamala Harris last year heartily condemned any effort<\/a> \u201cto erase and even rewrite the ugly parts of our history.\u201d<\/p>\n

But she didn\u2019t mention that the \u201cugly parts\u201d of her own record would be exempt from such a rewrite ban.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now a tidal wave of Kamalaflage has engulfed the presidential contest, as Harris\u2019 entire career is being miraculously expunged <\/a>\u2014 or at least purified \u2014 in a craven evidence-rigging stampede by media outlets and supposedly nonpartisan scorekeepers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Harris plainly ascended to the nomination <\/a>thanks to a de facto coup of Democratic Party kingpins and donors.<\/p>\n

Yet The Washington Post on Sunday hailed<\/a> those machinations as \u201cthe most spectacular transformation in recent American political history, a flashbang midsummer swap at the top of the presidential ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perhaps the paper should change its motto to \u201cDemocracy dies as a spectator sport,\u201d given its effusive praise for the Democrats\u2019 willingness to <\/strong>sideline their own primary voters.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

In 2019, Harris was hell-bent on a national fracking ban<\/a> that could have crippled US energy production.<\/p>\n

When Trump bashed her on that last week, she recanted \u2014 but Politico headlined its coverage with \u201cHarris Campaign Pledges She Won\u2019t Ban Fracking After Trump Accusation,\u201d implying that Trump had slandered her.<\/p>\n

\u201cCentrist Democrat\u201d is the label of the moment for Team Kamala apologists, and even supposedly neutral sources are falling in line.<\/p>\n

Govtrack, one of the most frequently quoted sources in Washington, boasts on its web page its mission of \u201ctracking the US Congress to make our government more open and accessible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Except when that tracking could cost a Democrat votes.<\/p>\n

In 2019, GovTrack labeled Kamala Harris the \u201cmost liberal\u201d senator<\/a> \u2014 further to the left than even Bernie Sanders \u2014 but this month deleted the webpage that said so.<\/p>\n

\u201cA single year was not sufficient<\/a> to create a reliable portrait of the activity of legislators,\u201d GovTrack founder Joshua Tauberer declared.<\/p>\n

Perhaps Harris was taken hostage in 2019 and an impostor cast senate votes for endless budget-busting boondoggles in her name, but Tauberer offered no evidence of such a switch.<\/p>\n

Are we also obliged to forget that Kamala\u2019s hard-left positions helped wreck her gold-plated first presidential run \u2014 which failed to win a single Democratic delegate?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2020, as looters and arsonists ravaged Minneapolis after the killing of George Floyd, then-Sen. Harris urged people to donate<\/a> to the Minnesota Freedom Fund \u201cto help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her appeal effectively exonerated anyone committing violence or other crimes, portraying them as worthy of speedy release from jail \u2014 but the bail fund paid to release rapists and child molesters and future murderers, not just looters.<\/p>\n

Yet a CBS News analysis last week absolved Kamala of all blame because she did not personally donate<\/a> to the fund.\u00a0No matter that her tweet urging contributions to the Freedom Fund was shared more than 15,000 times.<\/p>\n

The height of media sycophancy \u2014 so far \u2014 is their vehement denial that Kamala was ever Biden\u2019s \u201cborder czar.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

USA Today, CNN, Axios, Time and other outlets joined to effectively exonerate her of blame for the 10 million or more illegal immigrants who have arrived since 2021 \u2014 apparently because the administration never printed up letterhead stationery with \u201cBorder Czar\u201d as the veep\u2019s official title.<\/p>\n

In his televised farewell mumble last week, Biden sought to bury Harris\u2019 failure by falsely claiming, \u201cBorder crossings are lower today than when the previous administration left office\u201d \u2014 despite online videos of vast convoys of illegal immigrants lining up to cross the southern border like they\u2019re queuing for a ride at Disney World.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last July, as Harris spearheaded the administration\u2019s attack on Florida\u2019s effort to block fabricated 1619-style versions<\/a> of history in public schools, she promised<\/a>, \u201cI will always stand up for fundamental freedoms, including the freedom to learn and teach America\u2019s full history.\u201d<\/p>\n

But neither Harris nor Biden has given Americans the freedom to understand the backroom dealings that have driven federal policy since they took office. (Could they at least tell us who is controlling the presidency these days?)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Will the fate of Kamala\u2019s campaign hinge on an intellectual Keystone Kops chase, as her bootlickers rush to vaporize her past faster than voters can recognize her deceits?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Does Kamala\u2019s path-breaking candidacy entitle her to achieve the Oval Office \u201cunburdened by what has been\u201d<\/a> her life record?<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Monday, The New York Times provided a Bidenesque absolution for every wacky position that Kamala ever took, helpfully explaining that during her 2020 presidential run, \u201cMs. Harris also often appeared as if she were not sure what she believed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Republicans will never be able to make a case against someone who was an innocent bystander to her own career.<\/strong><\/p>\n
