His civil liberties policies were also dreadful. Hat tip to Muriel for the great question after my speech that spurred my riff on dodging border guards and sub-machine guns in the East Bloc in the 1980s. Thanks to GMU professor Thomas Rustici for a great introduction and for using my book Lost Rights as a textbook for one of his classes for many years. My old friend <strong>Bart Frazier<\/strong> gave an excellent spiel to get the evening started off right.
