I am finishing up a new book and am seeking suggestions for a snappy book title.<\/p>\n

The book\u2019s essays deal with the fraud of idealism,\u00a0 how truth is perverted in Washington, the political sanction for mass killing,\u00a0 why power corrupts,\u00a0 Leviathan-loving intellectuals, the fatal myths of democracy,\u00a0\u00a0 and other cheery topics.\u00a0\u00a0 My tentative title is \u201cPrinciples & Paradigms: How Politicians Con Citizens Into Submission.\u201d\u00a0 But my hunch is that the title could be better.<\/p>\n

Ideally, the title would be both hard hitting and zippety.\u00a0 In the past, I\u2019ve been a pushover for alliteration (Fair Trade Fraud, Farm Fiasco, Bush Betrayal, Terrorism & Tyranny).\u00a0 Alternatively, the title would be\u00a0 a phrase that sticks in people\u2019s memories – such as Lost Rights, Freedom in Chains, or Attention Deficit Democracy.\u00a0 (Two of my previous books got their titles from contests).<\/p>\n

The person who suggests the winning title will receive $100 and will be mentioned in the book\u2019s acknowledgments. (Second prize is two mentions in the acknowledgments).<\/p>\n
