I got a call today from a friend who told me that the Arabic version of Bush Betrayal<\/a><\/strong> is now in the stores in Beirut.\u00a0 The translation deal was signed by St. Martin’s Press last May with the Arabic Scientific\u00a0Publishers in Lebanon. \u00a0<\/p>\n

I have not seen the translated book – or even the cover design.\u00a0\u00a0 I will post the cover design when I get it.<\/p>\n

Maybe the availability of this book in Arabic will oblige the Pentagon to pay extra bribes to Iraqi journalists to write pro-American stories.\u00a0 (The Bush administration, after initially condemning such baksheesh<\/em>, recently announced that the payments would continue).<\/p>\n

I especially appreciated the heads-up\u00a0because my foreign sources for what is happening with my books are slim & none – and, as Dan Rather likes to say, Slim just left town.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
