\"WebBanner-15-FFA\"<\/a>Washington’s Shakespeare Theatre is presenting free performances of Midsummer Night’s Dream through 9\/13. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen that play since July & this version was superb. Adam Green<\/strong> does a magnificent job as Puck.\u00a0 In a Washington Post profile<\/a> of the three local versions of Shakespeare’s play, Green commented, “You don\u2019t have Shakespeare when you don\u2019t have the text.”\u00a0 His performance perfectly captures the magic\u00a0and meaning of the Bard’s words.\u00a0 And he doesn’t cloy like some Pucks I have seen. I hope Green gets ample opportunities to reprise this role in high-profile venues in the future.<\/p>\n

I hope the Washingtonians who loathed <\/a>my Wall Street Journal<\/em> oped on Silent Shakespeare<\/a> take the opportunity to see this production.<\/p>\n
