I have not finished reading the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on CIA torture. Following are some of my initial thoughts via Twitter @jimbovard –
#TortureReport CIA interrogators often did not speak the language of detainees so they compensated by beating hell out of them

#TortureReport With all the redactions from the report, the only certainty is that CIA practices & policies were worse than we yet know
— James Bovard (@JimBovard) December 10, 2014
#TortureReport CIA figured that the best way to get clear answers from detainees was to brutalize them to stay awake for 7 days straight
— James Bovard (@JimBovard) December 9, 2014
#TortureReport I am surprised that some Republicans believe that opposition to compulsory rectal feeding is a partisan issue
— James Bovard (@JimBovard) December 10, 2014
The fact that CIA & torture henchmen are disputing the Senate #TortureReport is best reason to disclose the rest of the damn report
— James Bovard (@JimBovard) December 10, 2014
#TortureReport A test of political literacy – whether people expect happy results from government breaking the law @ killing & torturing
— James Bovard (@JimBovard) December 10, 2014
After all the deceits the Senate #TortureReport documented, why in hell would anyone defer to any assertion from a CIA official on anything?

In 2016, grassroots Republicans are unlikely to vote for any candidate who ignores the compulsory rectal feeding issue. This is a basic freedom issue. How can any conservative, regardless about how they feel about other anal issues, expect to keep America free without a well-funded compulsory rectal feeding program?
There’s an old National Security saying: Feed the rectum and starve a potential terrorist suspect.
Be waiting for the call from Marco Rubio – I expect that dude is going to draft you as a speechwriter.
CIA interrogators often did not speak the language of detainees so they compensated by beating hell out of them.
That’d be American. The same mindset that yells English at a foreign waiter – but given clubs, jackboots, and cattle prods.
Great point, Lawhobbit. I’ll remember that the next time I get perturbed by bad service at a Tex-Mex restaurant.
The only thing torture of terrorists will not keep us safe from is ourselves, the most corrosive aspect of the nation now. The principle reason the harlots in Washington and in the media don’t seem to think Rectal Hydration is a bad thing is they’ve been telling people to bend over and take it for decades now.
Since humorists from Virginia, Oregon, & Connecticut have weighed in on that particular torture method, I won’t even try to add anything here.
