Talking Federal Killings on Judge Napolitano’s Freedom File

On his Freedom Files show, Judge Napolitano and I talked about how federal agents are assaulting peaceful protestors in Minnesota. When did federal agents become a holy caste who cannot be merely touched without lethal consequences? Law professor Richard Epstein was also on the show.

My riff from the show on G-men as holy caste: “It’s fascinating to hear Border Patrol chief Bovino and DHS Secretary Noem both talking about how if a protester merely touches a federal agent, then that agent basically has unlimited power over them, to arrest them, to knock them down, physically assault them, and in the case, last Saturday, to shoot them. And it’s such an absurd standard because it’s almost a definition of tyranny. It’s almost like you’ve got federal agents as a holy class, people who could not even be touched by commoners. At the same time, they have the right to beat the hell out of anybody who they think is in the wrong place of the wrong time and constitutional rights be damned.”
