For those of you who missed the comment by Tom Blanton, the mastermind of the Project for the New American Revolution, on the “Raving Editors” blog entry… Â
It has come to my attention that many of these hostile editors may have you confused with Blind Sheik al-Bovard. This guy was a piano player who penned a few hits in the 70’s (Rock The Cash Bar, Sheik Ya Booty, and the classic Mini-Burka, No Panties) and is now trying to establish a global caliphate from his base in Freedonia.
***
I have been accused of many things in my life, but being able to play the piano is not one of them.
I hope the Behavior Detection Officers manning the Homeland Security Bicycle Checkpoints don’t see this posting.
If they become a problem, I’d suggest carrying donuts with you to toss at them as you cruise through the checkpoints.
Huh. Here I was thinking you were a former member of ZZ Top….
Tom – I’m not worried about the Behavior wizards at the TSA bike checkpoints.
They didn’t notice the bandolier last time, so I think this photo on the Internet will also slip their attention.
Jerry – actually, my audition with them didn’t go so well.
…I heard that the TSA’s screeners have allowed some 75% of the mock explosives carried by Feds engaged in monitoring their effectiveness to pass…Once again: Your Tax Dollars at work.
Damn Jimbo, that was a good one. You are now my background on the computer screen.
…The blind Sheik al-Bovard’s head rag doesn’t look big enough to be a true Islamo-Fascist.
Jim, just don’t dye your beard black.
Not with the price of dye these days.
Steve, that is one heckuva frightening computer background you chose.
Almost as bad as a photo from a Bush comic gag at the White House Correspondents Dinner….
…Speaking of that event. What was even better was NBC’s David Gregory impromptu, Hip-Hop dance performance with Bush Politico Karl ‘Puffy’ Rove—Just about as amusing as a very bad hangover, or an IRS audit.
I love Blind Sheik al-Bovard! His fans nicknamed him “Sheik-Bone”. I remember him tickling the ivories on Rock the Cash Bar. I also remember him playing harmonica on his bluesy-ish songs. I love his classics! 😉
