I thrashed the Federal Reserve’s “profoundly dishonest” Quantitative Easing program on Press TV this morning. I also bashed the Senate for blocking the “Audit the Fed” bill: “It is as if politicians don’t want Americans to know how the government is yanking the chains on the currency and probably driving the entire economy over the [fiscal] cliff.” I am a bit mystified by the “[fiscal]” addition to the quote, but I think it still qualifies as a mixed metaphor. I think my sentiment came through.
