Two Photos in Labor Day Art Show

A couple photos from my California jaunt were accepted for the 49th Annual Labor Day Art Show and happily both sold. That means I’ll be able to afford to buy all the film that my digital camera needs. Hearty thanks to all my friends who posted comments on the early versions of those photos on Facebook, Tom Blanton, Nick Williams, and John M. on this blog,  and especially for the critical comments from Karen DeCoster Campbell, Rogier van Bakel and Adriana Magalini.

Congratulations! This means you are no longer just a photo-journalist – now you are a professional art photographer! The picture of Lake Yosemite really puts me in that place without having to actually go there. What a view.

Thanks very much, Tom- and thanks for your comment on the earlier photo versions. I’m glad you liked that Yosemite pic – I wasn’t sure whether to submit but WTH.

As far as being a “professional art photographer” – I shake my head at that notion but again, WTH – playing with the camera is a pleasant shift of gears from hounding some federal agency to ‘fess up to their latest boondoggle.
