Will Grigg is one of the hardest working pro-freedom bloggers in the business. His Pro Libertate blog is consistently among the punchiest, pithiest, most penetrating takes on the perils of politicians.
He has a new blog entry on Sam Adams and the American Revolution that vivifies the danger of waiting until too late to resist oppression.
The blog entry is uplifting, except for the part where Will got axed from his job for failing to support George W. as Supreme Leader.
Anyone looking for a very talented writer – and a tough fighter for principle – should put Will at the top of their list.
Jim,
I hope Pat and Taki grab him. I’ve always enjoyed Grigg’ writings.
Thanks for the tip. We are doing the revolution in class right now.
Steve – I am sure you are broadening the students’ minds with a much more penetrating history of the American Revolution than what I heard in school.
The principles of the resistance to tyranny – and to general warrants which permit the government to search anybody and anything with no pretext – these must be learned anew every generation.
… especially since so many older Americans have apparently forgotten – or never learned…
It is a shame that this man had to be fired for not towing the Politburo’s line. I came across his blog recently and found it refreshingly contrarian, even piquant. He is just like British documentarian Adam Curtis, who cannot get his shocking documentary “The Power of Nightmares” distributed because it challenges Bush’s version of events. What will it take to snap people out of this lunacy?
Adam – yes, his blog is most refreshing – it goes beyond the usual bitterness and us/them polemics. And he brings volleys of facts that other folks miss to the front.
As far as what it will take to snap poeple out of the lunacy – I reckon if I knew the answer to that one, I might have tried the angle or trick already.
Americans have been less corrigible than I hoped.
Yes, Grigg has an excellent blog. Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve added him to my link list. Hmmm, perhaps I will invite him to write something for moreliberty.org
