Biggest Weasel Winners of the 2010 Election??

Who is the biggest weasel amongst the newly elected politicians?

Andrew Cuomo, the new governor of New York, always does well in weasel ratings.

Richard Blumenthal, who lied all over Connecticut to make people think he had actually fought in the Vietnam war, is CONN’s new U.S. Senator.

What other newcomers deserve weasel accolades?

Unfortunately, the vast majority of weasel incumbents are being reelected – despite overwhelming public disapproval of Congress as a whole.

Almost makes me wonder if the system is rigged.

Jim, there is a lot of storage space on the internet, but it’s not infinite.

Wouldn’t it be easier, simpler, and more compact to list which new electees *aren’t* weasels?

And remember – “public disapproval of Congress” means “disapproval of YOUR congresslug.” For the most part, MY guy is doing just fine and is a rare exception to the “slug” categorization…. 😀

Jim – thanks for your comment on my analysis of the professional politician. I tried to keep it fair and balanced, but I may have gone to easy on them.

Anyway, here’s my list of new electees that aren’t weasels:

I forgot to nominate my choice for the 2010 Rabid Weasel Award – Representative for the 7th Districts of the states of Virginia and Israel, Imperial Wazoo Eric Cantor.

Tom, the chirping crickets are a nice touch but I suspect something from the movie Deliverance might be more appropriate.

On the Cantor award – the folks at MondoWeiss have a good blog entry on that issue –

Lawhobbit, you’re right that a list of non-weasels would be much shorter.

The only qualm I have is to start certifying individual pols as non-weasels. Like I told the judge recently, I been wrong on that before…..,

“Rigged election” is one of the most annoying tautologies I can think of.

    Good point.

Why bother to rig the election – a process even boobus americanus has a chance of understanding – when it’s far simpler to rig the process of deciding WHO gets to stand for election?

Oregon has somewhere around 3.2 million people. Out of those 3.2 million, the “best” two we could find to run for Governor (and by “run” I mean “are endorsed by the media and not poo-pooed as non-candidates) were a retread from 8 years ago who STARTED the great economic meltdown and a former basketball player???? Those are IT? Those are the “best and brightest” this state can find???

Interesting irony – the retread Democrat governor who is now apparently our new governor went out in a ball of flames describing Oregon as “ungovernable.” So the guy who thinks we can’t be governed wants to govern us…..

    Excellent points —-

So if this dude admits the state is governable, that means he will not bother anybody over the next 4 years, right? He will just stay in the gov’s mansion and fiddle – or diddle – or ????
