Maybe the Voice of America could use this poster as their logo for helping foreigners understand how the U.S. government is rescuing them.

British empire, now U.S.-powered, no doubt has George Washington, Andy Jackson, and their pals spinning in their graves.

Of course, when you think about it, it’s arguable that you ARE better off dead than being “helped” by the US….

@Bob Williams You mean the same Andrew Jackson that strongly supported the Indian Removal Act, which was essentially ethnic cleansing of Native Americans from the East to allow more room for white settlers? Yeah, something tells me his stance on U.S. imperialism and the “right” of the U.S. to impose itself on other people was made pretty clear by those actions.

I love how people just instantly blame the soldiers for the dead bodies. Not the insurgents that blow up busloads of women and children or carbomb their own neighborhoods. it just had to be the soldiers that are their trying to help them have a better way of life.

I don’t see a reason to presume either that those soldiers killed those particular people or that the soldiers are there to help them “have a better way of life.”
