The Department of Homeland Security has warned landlords in the DC area “to be looking out for the radicalized individual,” according to Peggy Jeffers, of the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington Inc. DHS sent out the warning to apartment and building managers on Sunday evening, the same time that Obama announced Osama’s demise.
What is DHS’s definition of “radicalized”?
Would that include anyone who thinks that the government is lying about the death of Osama?
The feds have apparently already admitted that the statements about Osama being armed may have been false, as was the claim about him using his wife as a human shield. Glenn Greenwald has a good summary of the initial claims that have been admitted to be false thus far.
The White House admitted this afternoon that its first story needed work. The New York Times slug on this story is priceless: “White House Corrects Bin Laden Narrative.”
Does a person need to keep up with all the government “corrections” in order to be labeled “radicalized”? Or can continuing to belief the initial assertions even after the government admits they were false – would that be radical?
The neocons are having a grand time, using this event to “prove” that all of the worst acts of the “War On Terror” are hereby justified. Secret prisons, torture, the invasion of Iraq, they all worked!
