This is National Police Week in Washington.
The photo above is the second-most popular non-tattoo photo on my Flickr page.
I took it at a DC Police Week event a few years ago. I wonder if this cop’s bike has since qualified for a disability pension.

Said it before, I’ll say it again – have some pity on the guy who looks like his supervisor is walking away with the last donut in the box….. 😀
I’ve never had much faith in Carb-loading.
That’s not “carb loading.” That’s “carbs approaching black hole levels of density.”
I wonder what sort of warranty that dude’s bicycle had.
“Voided?”
When I was chair shopping a decade ago, the store said that their warranties were voided for people past a certain cutoff — I think they said 240. (People have gotten bigger since then).
Isn’t it sad that I, a lazy dude who spends most of his free time watching sports on TV and playing video games is in better shape than that cop?
But…he’s in shape! “Round” is a shape, after all.
It’s a nice complement to a police photo I took in Houston in the 1990s.
OK, so you have to click on “Nicolas” above the last post to see the pic.
