The Petraeus Mystery

So how many years will it be until we learn the full truth behind the resignation of CIA chief David Petraeus?

Unless Petraeus was caught on videotape humping the speaker of the Iranian parliament, his resignation is difficult to understand.

Unfortunately, this latest development could undermine the rebound of trust in govt. surging across the nation as the result of Obama’s re-election.

    In any event, the sheeple’s trust in government has never been seriously affected by reality, and once you introduce “infidelity” a Pavlovian indifference is guaranteed.

    @Harpfool: I think Silber is on to something.

    One thing that jumped out at me right away when I heard the story: how can Petraeus be blackmailed over this? What’s the blackmailer gonna do, threaten to “reveal” a story that’s already known? That doesn’t strike me as being much of a lever.

    My theory is that Petraeus was on the verge of getting a divorce from his wife and marrying Paula Broadwell when the FBI informed him that Paula is a pre-operative transsexual. This caused Petraeus to have a complete meltdown as he had been unaware Paula had a clandestine penis.

    This intel failure prompted Petraeus to believe he was no longer worthy of being the Imperial President’s Chief Assassin and Spy in charge of drones and foreign democracy building.

    I have no hard proof of all of this, but Petraeus has not denied any of this or offered proof that my theory is not correct.

    I’m thinking that it would be good for America if Mr. and Mrs. Petraeus, along with Paula Broadwell, ironed out this whole thing on the Jerry Springer Show.
