Police apparently took 3 hours to finally confront the Orlando shooter. How many people bled to death in the meantime? Hopefully we get the facts on the police delays ASAP. In the meantime, here’s a line from a Wall Street Journal piece I wrote in 1998. Playing around with quote software – not sure this is working yet.
Here’s some tweets from the last few days – https://twitter.com/JimBovard/status/742088806967414784

#Orlando How many victims need to bleed to death before police can stop invoking "hostage standoff" to justify delaying confronting killer?

#Orlando "Police waited 3 hours to access the situation, get armored vehicles on to the scene and make sure they had enough personnel." !!!

.@DanielLMcAdams I hope we get speedy disclosure on the how Orlando police responded

“How” seems a bit obvious. WHY they responded that way will be far more interesting to find out, especially after the Columbine Debacle supposedly changed training methodologies to prevent exactly this sort of thing.
Heroes rush right in. Bureaucrats wait 3 hours.
Armed bureaucrats. With pensions.
