Federal judge Gloria Navarro today dismissed all charges against the Bundys, ending their long courtroom clash with the FBI, BLM, and Justice Department. Navarro found “outrageous” govt. misconduct and “A universal sense of justice has been violated.” Many of the FBI abuses occurred during Saint Jim Comey’s time as FBI chief. I detailed some of the federal foul play in Friday’s oped in USA Today.
Federal judge Navarro today complained that FBI spent 3 years misleading or lying about role of its snipers at the Bundy showdown. #Bundytrial https://t.co/9ntyaxi04Z

Federal judge Navarro slams the FBI for its role in "outrageous" govt. misconduct in #bundytrial . This happened in large part on Jim @comey 's time as FBI boss. https://t.co/9ntyaxi04Z

Raving DOJ brief in #Bundytrial claimed "84 of [David] Koresh’s followers set fire to the [Branch Davidian] compound, killing 75." So the young children had torches, or what? https://t.co/MfLUV99BQR

US govt. court brief looks like fear of jury nullification may have spurred Justice Dept & FBI to massively illegally suppress evidence in #Bundytrial https://t.co/9ntyaxi04Z

Good to see common sense still applies. Occasionally, anyway.
Yep – Judge Navarro had a great ruling. I hope DOJ pursues an investigation into what went wrong. Maxine Bernstein of the Oregonian has been doing great reporting on this case – maybe she can dive deeper.
Which is weird – it’s just not what I expect of the Oregonian.
