I’m speaking Saturday at the protest for #Julian Assange at the Justice Dept. in DC. As I wrote in USA Today in 2018, Assange deserves a Presidential Medal of Freedom, not persecution. They have a zesty line-up of speakers, including Antiwar.com’s Dave DeCamp, LP VP Spike Cohen, Green Party Senate candidate Matthew Hoh, John Kiriakou, Scott Ritter, and Chris Hedges.

The persecution of Julian Assange for exposing government crimes is all the evidence needed to show that the existing government is completely illegitimate. They’re all a big gang of criminals, the Mafia writ large, to paraphrase Murray Rothbard. Any necessary actions that normal people take to protect themselves or others from the predations of this criminal gang are morally justified.
