OK, maybe I was wrong in the prior blog about Bush’s new CIA nominee, Michael Hayden, not being linked to the poker-and-poking scandal at the Watergate.
TalkingPointsMemo muckraker project reports that “While director of the National Security Agency, Gen. Michael V. Hayden contracted the services of a top executive at the company at the center of the Cunningham bribery scandal, according to two former employees of the company.”
This is the poker-and-poking scandal which could make 2006 even more entertaining than MonicaGate made 1998.
On the downside, the news that Hayden might be linked to this scandal is hell on my resurgent idealism.
He didnt get those stars for nuthin’, pal.
Back in the 1960s & 1970s, there was a widespread rumor that the number of stars on the cover of Playboy indicated the number of times that Hugh Hefner had partaken of the pleasures of that Playmate of the Month.
So you think the same might be true for Air Force generals?
Maybe we should check Hayden’s record and see what he has flown.
