As President Obama’s reelection machine begins whooping up the economic recovery, we need to recognize the paucity of his achievements.
From an interview this morning with Press TV:
American people have lost their faith in the U.S. government even after President Barack Obama took office in early 2009, says James Bovard, policy advisor for The Future of Freedom Foundation.
He blames President Obama [and the Republicans] for America’s desperate economic situation.
In an interview with Press TV’s U.S. Desk, Bovard criticized the president for “helping keep secrets” and his team for having been “very active in recruiting” people for food stamps. Nearly 46 million people need food stamps now in the U.S., he said.
Since Obama has been president “The price of gasoline has almost doubled and that’s in part due to Obama’s saber rattling on foreign policy. National debt is up almost 50%. The value of dollar has fallen and the price of gold has almost doubled in US dollars. And that’s the sign of how people have lost faith in the U.S. government and lost faith in the Federal Reserve.”

But…but…but…13,000 Dow!!!
I think Obama has some solid accomplishments. #1 Started his own war. #2 Accelerated borrowing #3 expanded ability of military to operate within U.S. There are a ton more. Plus he gives sleep inducing speeches.
I’d much prefer that he talk about his economic achievements. Anything to make him stop singing. Sing no more Nero!
He also reminds me of Charles Durning in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas:
Ooo I love to dance a little sidestep
Now they see me now they don’t I’ve come and gone
Ooo I love to sweep around the widestep
Cut a little swath and lead the people on
