That was WHO talk show host Jan Mickelson’s lead-in comment to today’s interview.
Now, if someone from New Jersey said I was one of the “smarest snotty people” he knew, it would be the supreme compliment.
But nobody is snotty in Iowa.
Jan has noted my attitude problem a few times in the past. He described my 2004 book, Bush Betrayal, as “a really surly book.” Two years later, he observed that “Attention Deficit Democracy is kind of a painful read.”
Given my temperament, maybe it was good that I did not linger in Iowa much past my first birthday.
