Bummer! I have Lost My Best Source!

Now I know how General Robert E. Lee felt in 1864 when informed of the death of his calvary leader, Gen. Jeb Stuart. Lee responded that he had “lost the eyes of the army.” (The previous year, when informed of the death of Stonewall Jackson, Lee said that he had lost his right arm.)
Well, that’s how I feel this morning hearing about the resignation of White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card.
I have lost my best source on the inner workings of the Bush administration.
It is going to be much more difficult for me now to reveal to readers what exactly Bush is thinking, and what the Big Picture is for the administration’s long-term strategy.
I guess I will just have to work harder on getting Dick Cheney to open up to me and give me the inside scoop.

Didn’t Andy give you a call to tell you how his quitting signals a re-energized presidency dedicated to winning the war on terror?

Oh, I’m sure Cheney will be happy to give you something, Jim … just be careful about how he delivers it!

As long as it arrives via Federal Express, I will sign for it.

I think he’d choose something with … oh, a little higher velocity at arrival.

Kevin - I may have missed Andy’s call because I was on the phone with Abramoff, giving him some tips on how he could exploit the trauma of his underprivileged childhood in Beverly Hills to gain public sympathy.

Ah. “When in doubt, Google it out.” Hadn’t heard of that company before.

Yep.
If you’re sending something to Bratislava, DHL is absolutely the best way to go.

Are they competitive in the USSA?

They absolutely, positively lose fewer packages than does the U.S. Postal Service.

Ha! I wasn’t even thinking of them—wondering about FedEx and UPS. I wasn’t pleased at various elements of my recent mass shipment via UPS.

I thought YOU, Jim, would be the “grey beard” we keep hearing so much is in need at the WH.

Just what ever you do, do NOT ever, under any circumstances, go hunting with dead-eye Dick!!!!
