I love that bottom picture. A guy I know tangentially (through InterWebToobz discussions unrelated to political stuff) just got named to the AIPAC board of some type for the state of CO. He is perfectly paranoid, perfect for the position!

That is Angela Keaton in the bottom photo. She is one of the masterminds of Antiwar.com.

I don’t know how anyone can attend such an event without wanting to tie them up and put them in a nuthouse? When does the madness end? This just shows that reality is stranger than fiction. Isreal? “Mishandling” the War on Terror (sic)? Keeping a mosque from being built? Oh, my, what engines of deep thought and moral righteousness are these fatuous boobs — not counting Keaton’s, of course.

    Funny!
Careful, Lawrence – you’re talking about our future national leaders.

What a freak show. I heard some of the crazies boycotted CPAC because it wasn’t crazy enough, too.

I heard that Frank Gaffney was worried that the Muslim Brotherhood had infiltrated CPAC. I didn’t see any burkas there yesterday.

Oops. The “bottom picture” I referenced is the top picture… Christers for Zion.

    As to Gaffney… cretin.

No shortage of rascals at this year’s event, for sure. But it can do wonders to freshen up one’s sense of the absurd.

Yes, but absurdity requires a certain piquant humor to be reliably characterized as “absurd” and most of the political operators in this Era of Fear as a Cash Cow couldn’t deliver the punch line to a knock-knock-who’s there joke without some kind of
lengthy fundraising campaign or exhaustive polling.
