Ron Paul Meetup in DC Suburbs Monday Night

There will be a Ron Paul Meetup in Rockville, MD at 7 pm on Monday night (6/25).

The gathering will be held at Panera Bread, at 1780 Jefferson Street.  This is a block or so off Montrose Road  – a long block from Rockville Pike-  just behind the bankrupt Comp USA store.

Panera offers tolerable bread, at least by Maryland standards.   I don’t recall if they have beer, but I’ll probably attend the event regardless.  This will not be a cigar-friendly event.

Jim, speaking of beer, don’t miss this short blog entry The war on Pabst:

    This explains your legendary inefficiency.

If Pabst made me inefficient, I shudder to think what I would have become if I had regularly drank Guinness.

Thanks for linking to Justin’s blog entry on the excellent piece on the demented origins of Prohibition.

Fascinating to think that Prohibition was considered to be a triumph of idealism when it first became law…
