Podcast now online of Antiwar/Scott Horton Radio Interview

The podcast of Wednesday’s radio interview with Scott Horton is now online here.

We had a rattlin’ good discussion, covering a heap of topics and clobbering politicians left and right.

Thus far, I have not been contacted by the lawyers for the West Virginia Anti-Defamation League.

Jim I’d be interested to hear what mechanism exists that could possibly allow of any material change in our trip toward a totalitarian state.

Yes, but it will be a Disney Totalitarian State with high production values and a finely tuned sense of drama with colorful costume pageantry.

Then again , once the peasants are focused a tad more as a result of a mandatory low cal diet, they might come to their senses and do something about the fact that the Federal District is a Banana Republic without Palm Trees or good Tapas.

Then again, this witless generation might wholly embrace a savior as long as she comes dressed in leathers, spike hills and a bustier.

There is dumb and then there is the kind of purpose driven dumb that has the lapsed Republic clutched by the erogenous zone.

Dirk, so you’re thinking that if Palin dons the bustier in the final week that McCain might still win?

  4. Jim October 24, 2008 at 1:27 pm #

Bill – the first step is for people to wake up to the frauds that have been governing their lives.

Once that happens, positive political change can follow quickly.

Unfortunately, I have little idea when or if that will happen. My rose-colored glasses don’t see that far.

Jim , I think if the primped and luxuriously dressed Governor wore a Leather Bustier in the last week of the campaign, McCain would not only win but Christianized Pagan Cults would break out
spontaneously and the Federal district would see the rise of a vaguely Mithraic Brotherhood who would tear Lincoln from his recliner and insert a graven image of Palin in a kind of Xena, Warrior Princess Pose.

I’m not sure that a bustier would be enough to make the difference on November 4 – but it would be fun to see Palin so attired show up at a Joe Biden speak and given him the [redacted]* of his life. That would probably help McCain win Florida and maybe Ohio, too.

*What is a good euphemism for bitch slapping?

At this late date, I’d be willing to wager that McCain can win only if Biden starts wearing a red leather bustier, cowboy boots and a fireman’s hat. But, I’d limit my bet to $5.

  8. Jim October 26, 2008 at 1:06 pm #

Tom- would you still offer the $5 bet if Biden wears only the boots and the hat?

  9. Tom Blanton October 26, 2008 at 10:01 pm #

Jim – All bets are off! I’ve found out that Obama is a secret Muslim socialist and a citizen of Kenya who pals around with terrorists – plus his middle name is Saddam Hussein.

Bush may be forced to cancel the election and appoint McCain as the next Unitary Executive so Obama can’t cause any trouble on November 4th.

  10. Jim October 26, 2008 at 10:33 pm #

It looks like McCain will lose regardless, but…

If this had been another coin-toss election – the Muslim card, the terrorist card, and other slurs might have made the difference.

Regardless – the media mavens will tell us that the 2008 election will re-purify the system and that we are all obliged to believe in our Great Leaders again.

I really don’t believe that there’s any mechanism that can turn this around. The combination of Government schools to take care of the initial propagandizing and a Corporate media to conduct daily refreshers make it most unlikely that the average moron will realize what’s happened until it’s too late. There was a brief flicker of opportunity with the internet (Hence the Clintonian bitch whining about the trouble with the Web is that “there are no gatekeepers”. But the elite have finally figured out how to fix that.
