Jim, I’m glad that you and Brian had a good time. I did too, listening to y’all. Informative and always entertaining.

What you discussed reminded me of something I’ve noted and as time goes by, the more I am convince I am correct. With few exceptions, this country went crazy with the end of the Cold War. The same thing occurred following the War for Southern Independence, the same type of craziness that Mark Twain satirized in the “Gilded Age”. The only difference is that then we could only do damage to ourselves, but today, we can, under the fools we’ve elected over the last 20 years can do harm to everyone.

Brian, my compliments to you, Fred and Maggie for what you are doing in Toledo in regard to the idiot mayor you have. I know what you are dealing with, remember, we had Bill Campbell as mayor of Atlanta during the man-made disaster known as the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Because I believe that it is hopeless on the federal level that at the end, if the mess is going to be fixed it will have to start at the local level.

Ryan – thanks for listening. Glad you enjoyed the show.

Wars – especially ones that appear to be victories – rarely induce prudence and common sense.

As A concerned citizen, I have questions and also wish to express my thoughts and opinions on the following:

Housing bailout– Why did the housing mess get so far out of hand? Who’s job was it to keep an eye on it? If the government wanted these loans made, weren’t you watching what was happening? Why isn’t anyone being held accountable for their actions? How can you ruin the economy of the whole country and not be held accountable?

Cap and Trade– Why are you pushing for higher electric bills, when people are having enough trouble keeping up with what bills they have now? We are told that there is global warming, when in reality I don’t know if this is just a natural occurrence? If you stop making electricity with coal, won’t we be losing millions of more jobs? I can understand trying to make less pollution, this would be great. But if you bankrupt the country doing it now with this poor of an economy, isn’t that borderline stupid? You know as well as I that no other country will do this and ruin their economy.

Why is the Congress and Senate letting Obama get away appointing these CZARS? By the way do you know the definition of CZAR? 1.) an emperor or King. 2.) the former emperor of Russia. 3.) an autocratic ruler or leader. 4.) any person exercising great authority or power in a particular field. By the way since we have all these powerful rulers, why do we need the congress, senate, or the constitution? Wasn’t this what we fought against in 1776? Sometimes I feel like I fell asleep and woke up in a different country where everyone wanted a free ride and didn’t want to work for anything.

I just received an email that tells how I feel about Immigration. It told how Theodore Roosevelt’s ideas on immigrants and being an American in 1907. I don’t agree with everything President Roosevelt believed in but this I do. Quote “In the first place, we should insist if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birthplace or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American… There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American. But something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language… and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people! “) Theodore Roosevelt 1907
Reading this e-mail made me feel proud of my Country, but it also brings to mind phrases like African-Americans, Mexican Americans, Islamic Americans. What seems funny to me is that I just consider myself an American that’s good enough for me, why isn’t that good enough for every one else?

Something else has me puzzled–I’m not sure what Obama means by having a civilian force, just as well funded, as the American military. Why would we need this? Who would they be used against? If the answer would be the American people you are going to have a very big problem. Even if it would be some sort of social army, who and how would we pay for it? Or would we just print more worthless money?

As far as the health bill, I don’t want a government run health care. I think there would be way too much bureaucracy , let alone putting so many people in charge of making certain decisions for me, that should only be left up to me or my family. I’ve just read a little of this bill and I already see a lot I don’t like. I’m a little puzzled I was wondering why the union was pushing for this bill to pass, when they have always had the best health care there company’s could afford? It makes me wonder what kind of special treatment there going to receive as a payback? Another question I would like answered is, does Acorn get anything out of this bill? If so why would the American people have to pay for it? If you want to change healthcare why not just work on the problems we have with the existing system? We have problems now but I think it would be a lot worst if it was ran by the government.

I was reading Glenn Beck’s book “Common Sense” . Maybe the Congress and Senate should be made to read this book to show them how most of us feel about what they’ve done to our country! This one thing he talked about tells basically how I feel quote “(with a few notable exceptions, our political leaders have become nothing more than parasites who feed of our sweat and blood. They fail to appreciate America’s potential or recognize her superiority and instead they view her as just another country to be sucked dry for their own benefit, without regard for the health of the host.

These parasites have fed undetected for years. But our present economic crisis has laid bare just how badly the members of our political elite have squandered our wealth while failing to prepare us for rough times. In good times it was more difficult to see exactly what they’d done to us, but now the true extent of their looting of the nations treasury and pillaging of our pay checks has been exposed.

Unfortunately, our Financial security is directly related to our national security – and that’s why I believe that what some of these people have done is borderline treasonous They may not have directly sold state secrets to our enemies, but they’ve successfully put a target on our back nonetheless. Our enemies rejoice and celebrate at our economic troubles, all the while plotting how to trigger our ultimate demise)”. This is how I feel about the housing mess. These loans should not have been made at the expense of the American taxpayers. I don’t think the government did their job to prevent this. Now what kinds of sacrifices are you willing to take to pay for it?

I received another email, it tells about what Russian Professor Igor Panarin says: that events are continuing to confirm his doomsday predictions first made over 10 years ago, that United States will completely collapse like the Soviet Union before the end of 2010, and warns that the chaos could begin to unfold in as little as 2 months. Panarin, doctor of political sciences and professor of the Russian Diplomatic Academy Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told journalists during the unveiling of his new book yesterday that President Obama has done nothing to forestall the fast approaching crisis and that it could begin to properly unfold in November.

Obama is “the president of hope”, but in a year there won’t be any hope.” said Panarin, “He’s practically another Gorbechev” he likes to talk but hasn’t really managed to do anything. Gorbechev at least had been secretary of regional communist party administration, whereas Obama was just a social worker. His mentality is totally different. He’s a nice person and talks nicely – but he’s not a leader and will take America to a crash. When Americans understand that – it will be like a bomb explosion.” Since 1998, Panerin has been warning of a future disintegration of the United States and the collapse of the dollar. The recent election victory for Japan’s Democratic is another sign that the collapse of the U.S. is imminent, according to Panarin. Today, I received another confirmation that the collapse of the dollar and the U.S. is inevitable. Japan’s Democratic Party won the election and I’d like to remind you that its leader (Yukio Hatoyama) has the snubbing of the dollar among his economic plans. In plainer words, he plans to transfer Japan’s monetary reserves from the US dollars into another currency. The move will seriously accelerate the dollar’s exchange slump as early as this November. “Disintegrations will follow shortly,” he said, adding that next year China would also begin to massively dump the dollar and that Russia would begin to sell oil and gas for rubles. Panarin previously stated that the dollar would be eventually replaced with “a common Amero currency as a new monetary unit”, referring to the Security and Prosperity partnership agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He for sees the U.S. breaking up into six different parts, roughly along lines similar to those of 1865 during the Civil War, “The Pacific Coast” with its growing Chinese population; the south with its Hispanic; Texas, where Independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic Coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.” according to Panarin.

Longer term, Panarin predicts that the breakaway states will eventually be taken over by the European Union, Canada, China, Mexico, Japan and Russia and America will cease to exist altogether, as depicted in the illustration above.
Panarin blames the collapse on a “political elite that implements an absurd and aggressive policy that aims to create conflicts around the planet” and warns that increasing firearms sales in the U.S. are a sign that people are preparing for “chaos” in the aftermath of a total financial melt down.

In my opinion, the probability of the U.S. ceasing to exist by June 2010 exceeds 50%. At this point, the mission of all major international powers is to prevent chaos in the U.S.” Panarin concluded.

After reading this I feel about the same as I did when the terrorists blew up the World Trade Center. I felt a terrible sadness and then an anger I never want to feel again. I don’t know how much of what he says is truth or fiction but I do know is that we have a very big financial problem, and I think we should be working on that. Now I’m looking to you for answers. By the way, when you ran for office you were put there to represent us not rule us. I guess what I want is hope for my children’s future not what you’ve been giving us as of late.

Maybe you should quit worrying about health care, caps and trade, or trying to figure out more rules and regulations to keep businesses from succeeding in this country and try to do more to promote it. Maybe the answer isn’t trying to figure out more ways to spend money, on giveaway programs, civilian forces, or corrupt social organization. Maybe the answer isn’t trying to spread the wealth around to people that want a free ride, I don’t think that these kind of policies are what made this country great, but I do think hard work, personal sacrifice and doing your best to earn your pay does make a difference. Maybe the government should be ran like a small business if you don’t have extra money to spend you cut back, you make do with what you have. If I would just keep writing checks spending money I didn’t have eventually someone would come and put me in jail, funny how that works. Here are a few things Glenn Beck believes in and so do I.

    1. I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.

    2. I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry during difficult economic times therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.

    3. I believe more than four decades of U.S. dependence on foreign oil is a travesty therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear, natural gas and coal as necessary.

    4. I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering in and why and I will vehemently oppose any measure giving another country, the United Nations or any other entity power over U.S. citizens

    5. I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and therefore will not apologize for policies or actions which have served to free more and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.

In Glenn Beck’s book he said: ( Politicians, I have a message for you: Americans do not care about the R or D after your name; in fact, those letters probably hurt you. We care about your character. Americans don’t want someone with whom they always agree, but someone they can always trust. We want to be a part of a process that is open, transparent, and fair-but most of all, we just want you to do what you promised you would. We’ll call you with our thoughts when we can, but if you keep your end of the bargain, then you’ll have nothing to worry about. We’ll always be there to watch your back.)

I know there a lot of good men and women in the Senate and the Congress and I hope that you make decisions that will help the country instead of tearing it apart. I agree with Glenn Beck on this point if you look out for the American people we will proudly stand behind you!

I’m an independent truck driver, I have been for the last 34 years, when going down the road people would pull out in front of me a little closer than I would like, sometimes stopping a little faster than I think they should have, usually I would get aggravated. I knew I had a problem with my temper and needed something to help me with this problem, so I made a wooden cross to put on my hood, so every time I look a head I see it. It’s not that it’s all that fancy, but I think about what it means, you would be surprised at what a difference it makes. I still slip up every once in awhile, but if it helps me, maybe it will help you look ahead also.

If I’ve said anything to offend you I hope that you don’t deserve it. If you don’t, I apologize. I’ve never written a letter to the government before, I could just do like a lot of other people and let it slide, but I hope I can make a difference. By the way I don’t consider myself a radical, I’m just a dad that loves his family and country and I’m worried about the direction we’re going!
Bryan these are a few of my thoughts I guess I,m just trying to see what your opinion would be on them. I gave Bob Latta a copy of this letter I’m waiting to see what he thinks,my plans are to send it to my Congressmen and Senators. This is not meant to go public, but your opinion matters to me.thank you
