Towards a More Honest Afghan Policy

Good riddance to McChrystal. His role in the coverup of the killing of Pat Tillman alone was enough to qualify him for the Pentagon Rogues Gallery of the new Millennium.

Petreaus is better than McChrystal because at least we get to sometimes watch him get overwhelmed by the sheer enormity of the BS he shovels on Capitol Hill.

Ah, but did he really get pushed? Or did he orchestrate a jump? As it stands now, he’s no longer responsible for that huge steaming load that is Afghanistan. If things go right (yeah, as if), he can claim credit for putting the winning policies in place. If things keep going south, he can blame his successor for not following through properly.

And ultimately, the Big O gets all the backsplash.

McChrystal. Crazy like a fox, maybe.

I can’t give the benefit of the doubt to anyone who relishes lime-flavored Bud Lite.

He’s just appealing to the common GI when he says that. You need to take the comment – like the beer – with a grain of salt…. 😀

Soldiers drinking lite beer…. I just don’t get it.

Are you kidding? These are the guys who get stationed in Germany…and still buy Coors Lite at the PX…. 😀

At least one former US Army guy who was stationed in Germany mentioned the same thing — except that he was a huge fan of DinkelAcker.
