I looked up Diogenes. He fled Sinopes on the Black Sea because his Dad or Diogenes debased the currency. Diogenes was captured by pirates after fleeing Sinopes and ended up in Corinth and Athens. He slept in a large porcelain jar. What the hell? Sure he founded cynicism, but who wouldn’t who had been a slave and now sleeps in a jar?
Ya, his life wasn’t idyllic.
