Brian Wilson and I had fun smacking around the latest Trump indictment, the lies that permeated the Korean and Iraq Wars, and the latest FBI FISA finagling on the latest Two and Only Podcast.

Good episode: BW sounds like he’s back to his former energetic self.
These latest Trump charges are complete BS, from all I can tell. I’ve been through the transcript of his Jan 6 speech, and the most incendiary thing I could find was, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” The indictments apparently hinge on the assertion that Trump knew he was making false statements about evidence of election irregularities (according to Greenwald’s analysis), something which would seem to be both difficult to prove and of uncertain criminality. He’ll be convicted anyway, of course, unless he can get a change of venue, and vindication on appeal will likely drag out beyond next year’s election.
Yes, Brian is full of fire and brimstone again.
The latest Trump charges look like a legal mess to me.
I’m about 8:00 into the podcast. My Dad’s friends all got drafted into the Korean War. My Dad didn’t have to go because Mom was pregnant with me. I used to kid my Dad that I saved his life.
Dad told me a story:
Dad had two high school friends at South High in Minneapolis. These two friends joined the Army Reserves because they could get cheep beer at Fort Snelling and they were only 18.
When the Korean War started Dad’s two friends were called up to go to Korea.
One of the boys died and the other one had a leg blown off.
Dad said, “A high price to pay for cheap beer.”
good story. I enjoy beer but ya, that’s too high a price.
