Monday Syndicated Interview Now Online
11:40 am | Attention Deficit Democracy | Bovard
Scott Horton of Antiwar.com kindly spent a heap of hours last night tracking down a rebroadcast of the Neal Boortz interview. Scott caught & copied the gig and posted it online here.
If you haven’t checked out Scott’s Stress blog recently, give it a shot. He is taping interviews with many writers, antiwar activists, and others who are busy busting Leviathan’s chops. Scott does far more prep for his interviews than most talk show hosts. He asks excellent questions and the quality of his MP3s is superb - better than what I hear from most radio shows I have been on.
The one complaint I hear about his work is that he has a strange laugh, but he’s from Texas, so you just have to shrug that off.

Jim,
He isn’t from Texas. He is from PA. Anyway, good you got on there. Maybe Boortz learned something, but I doubt it.

…Jim: To your knowledge is there any legal and or Constitutional basis to Cheney’s contention that the Law does not apply to the actuations and subsequent effects of Policy made by him through his Office? I’d be very much interested to know.

Based on the expertise I gathered shoveling snow at the Harvard Business School, I am confident that there is no basis whatsover for Cheney’s claim.
The only grounds for Cheney’s claim is that he knows there are plenty of Full Mooners in the right-wing media who will howl and defend whatever bizarre claim he pulls out of his [redacted] // CORRECTION: thin air.

…Does that mean I can’t present an argument against Cheney’s subjective, unsubstaniated pronouncements to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and his crew?—The reason I ask is because I’ve been sober 3 days and I’m startin’ to channel Huey Pierce Long. Maybe it’s the DT’s effecting both me and Dirty Dick at once?

Mace, since you’ve gone cold turkey, maybe this would be a good time to visit http://www.whitehouse.gov and spend a couple days reading George Bush’s recent speeches.
I find it does wonders.

Steve - thanks for that link - it is an excellent analysis.
I am immersing in torture this weekend - reading up a bunch of stuff for an article due on Tuesday.
So many stunning bits out there… The Democrats rolling over for CIA torture loophole meister John Rizzo is appalling.
Once again vindicating Lily Tomlin: “No matter how cynical you become, it is never enough to keep up.”
