Honest Torture Investigations?

Ice hockey in hell?

And an honest investigation into all the illegal surveillance schemes uncorked since 2001?

Topless female ice hockey in hell.

But I would be very happy to be proven wrong on this.

The Washington Post noted that the Obama administrationc could appoint a prosecutor who “may look into whether CIA interrogators operated outside the boundaries set by George W. Bush’s Justice Department.”

Like most of the Pentagon investigations of torture at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere, the investigation would be careful not to look at any culpability of the policymakers — the people who actually gave the orders to violate the laws and maim, kill, or merely savage detainees.

This could still spin out of control – and the continuing coverups could come undone.

But I still don’t expect the Stanley Cup playoffs to head that far south.

    Jim,

I think you’ve landed on a genre that will increase the attention spans that NYT was complaining about the other day.

Topless ice hockey in hell would certainly keep a lot of flickering minds on task…!

Wes, I hear people complain that they can’t keep their eye on the puck when they watch hockey on TV.

With topless hockey, OK… you still not be able to keep track of the puck, but at least you wouldn’t feel as deprived.

It looks as though the Obama Admin will start trotting out the accumulated material for show trials on a variety of subjects furnished by the last administration every time things look a little darker than usual for the Savior of Change.

If you add some riot guns with rubber bullets to the Topless Hockey , you’ve got a winner.

This hockey game is getting more complicated by the hour.

Yeah. Let the investigations proceed and the chips fall where they may. In the course of destroying this country, George W. Bush (the First Fool as I loved to call him) undid DECADES of diplomatic protocol.

Were these morons able to get information via torture? Sure they did. Most of that info was false. You see, under those circumstances, the person being tortured will say just about anything. It is quite interesting: no one in this administration (Excuse me, I meant to say, “THAT administration) was smart enough to figure this out.
