Washington Post Condemns Open Government [Audit the Fed]

Today’s Washington Post contains an editorial that warns that Ron Paul’s “Audit the Fed” bill could end civilized life as we know it.

Well, they didn’t go quite that far – but the editorial reads like it was written in a puddle of sweat.

The Washington Post pretends to take the high ground – and ignores the mountains of dirt indicating inside dealing or other corrupt behavior at the Fed.

Instead, Americans are supposed to trust the Fed to continue assuring that the U.S. dollar is as valuable as a politician’s campaign promise.

Unfortunately, Americans are still taught to view the media is a check upon government power….

It reminds me of a recent article in Vanity Fair authored by an impetuous fellow who had the temerity and sense of adventure to attempt putting those kidders at the Bohemian Grove under a spotlight as they cut down the Redwoods they love to pee on. Seems a Swell fired off a letter to the employer of said journalist and gave as his chief reason for an accusation of bad-form was, words to the effect of “the journalists actions are inconsistent with the standards of journalism in the 21st century”…or words to that effect.

This of course, is absolutely true, however hilarious it might be.

Calls to audit the Fed and criminal allegations against the Fed are causing the kleptocratic elite to sweat bullets. Their job of creating a scapegoat when the economy melts down will be extremely difficult with so much focus on the Fed now.
