I want to thank Bob Bowers, who organized this libertarian supper club, for inviting Jacob Hornberger and I to talk there. The audience was excellent – lots of hardliners full of fire-and-brimstone.
The question-and-answer exchanges after the speech were zesty, especially regarding torture.
This is the first speech I have given where I had the option of accompaniment by a full percussion drum set.
Your message woulda been radical with some beats, yo. You don’t even need no drummer. Get a beatbox and do your thing freestyle, know what I’m sayin?
I didn’t realize that the drum set was disassembled during my speech until I saw the tape.
If the crew had dropped a cymbal or two, might have revved that audience.
