Obama, March 28, 2011: “And tonight, I can report that we have stopped Gaddafi’s deadly advance.”
This is from Washington Post cartoonist Tom Toles’ sketchbook.
This would have been a great illustration to use for Obama’s speech on Monday. Too bad that historic address was out of date faster than a dead fish begins to rot.
Surely you don’t think that a politician would let actual facts interfere with a well-prepared feel-good speech, do you????
After this latest disappointment, I am on the verge of taking down the 2008 Obama campaign sign in my front yard.
Who needs a War Powers Act when National Security is the aim….Actually, why don’t we all just don a snappy uniform with a big logo on the back identifying us as useful idiots for International Policing? “Boots on the Ground”…ho ho ho, how about “rubes on the ground”
