DEA Informants: America’s Biggest Liars? – Iran Farce

All this hoopla over the alleged Iranian plot to use Mexican drug lords to carry out an assassination of a Saudi at a fictitious DC restaurant – I knew there was something very strange about this…

And then I read that the linchpin of the case is a paid Drug Enforcement Administration informant who recently faced drug charges and had “cooperated” with authorities to avoid going to prison himself.

Geez, doesn’t anybody in the mainstream media have a BS radar any more?

DEA informants are notorious for being even more dishonest than congressmen. Here is a link to an NPR story last year on one slippery DEA informant that blew up a major case. The DEA knew that its most successful informant from the mid-1980s through 1999 was a brazen liar who routinely committed perjury in federal court. But the feds had no problem with using someone who subverted justice and made a mockery of the judicial system.

Given the nature of US drug laws, the DEA relies on perpetual deceit to justify its own existence.

And we are supposed to rely on a DEA informant to rev up the case for going to war with Iran?

Just when I think that DC could not be fuller of ****, the Obama administration proves me wrong again.

I could be wrong but wasn’t that sordid fellow who reeled in the Newburgh Morons on a terrorism charge from the DEA?

They’re working this one hard though, cute lil ole Lindsay Graham is on his stump and Joe Loserman and all the rest of the shills for the MIC.

I suppose they are following the old ploy that if you make the charge as preposterously cockeyed as possible, people will actually believe it more because after all, nobody would cover a lie with such a ridiculous story.

I did like the FBI Director saying it looked like a Hollywood Movie. Well, perhaps a low budget one.

Given the Texas setting for the conspiracy, I note ruefully that the plot had as much credibility as the storyline in “Debbie Does Dallas.”

Our imperial leader must really be getting desperate to put this trash out there – even Obama apologist Juan Cole says he’s wagging the dog.

Not only are they banging the drum for Iran, they are throwing in a few cymbal crashes for the drug cartels created by the prohibition. Now we are threatened by vicious criminals armed by the ATF and in the employ of evil Iranians.

Drones over Tijuana. Drones over Tehran.

They are working all the angles….from the mainline media to Pat Robertson’s cable channel to CSPAN hearings….all filling the echo chamber with Iran as The Demon of the Day. Funny how the issues dogging Holder as well as the lost money on the Solyndra deal have been crowded out of the streaming news.

    Tom – – “Drones over Tijuana”?? –

That would be hell on attendance at the donkey shows.

Dirk – I will be curious to see how many more days this story dominates the news. I keep waiting for its credibility to collapse – but that’s the same thing I thought in late 2002 when GWB was pushing for war with Iraq.
