I was on the Mark Edge Free Talk Live radio show last Saturday night. Mark and his cohost Ian Freeman were broadcasting live from the New Hampshire Liberty Forum in Nashua. Mark Edge was the best dressed radio host I ever met – I was almost tempted to removed my railroad engineer cap in honor of his sharp outfit.
We had a rowdy discussion on “Libertarian Hooliganism – Having Fun Raising Hell for Freedom” – the topic of my second talk at the Liberty Forum. I was compelled to admit that there was some overlap between the talk and Public Policy Hooligan.
Here is a link to the full two hour show Mark and Ian did that night. You can hear the outtake of our 17 minute interview by clicking below –
Mr. Bovard, I’m sorry I missed your talk at Liberty Forum. Something got into my system Friday night and I missed the rest of the conference.
Hopefully the video will be posted soon.
It was good to meet you at last. I hope you were able to find some good beer. :^)
Peace, Curt-
Thanks, Curt Howland. I hope you’re feeling back to full strength now. There were a lot of folks with colds or flus who seemed to be suffering at that conference – even before Bitcoin took another dive.
My beer prospecting did not hit any motherlodes but I know that New England is brewing far better beer than it used to.
Great stuff. I’m a long time listener of FTL, although I don’t listen regularly as much as I do most winters. During baseball season I barely listen to it at all. Usually when the Pittsburgh Pirates have a night off and I’m not doing anything else, I will listen to them. They are a fun group (which includes some great co-hosts) and I like listening to guys my age who think about things the same way I do and have a lot of the same experiences that I do.
If you’re ever back in Iowa stop by my house in Dubuque and get some of my homebrew. I’m not sure if it’s great beer, my friends and relatives seem to enjoy it, but it beats the hell out of all the watered down crap by A-B, Miller or Coors. And I got some tasty corn on the cob in August and September. And my girlfriend makes some excellent steak.
Jer – thanks – I’m glad you enjoyed the show. FTL folks are a hoot – they bring so much energy to their shows.
I don’t know when I’ll next be in Iowa, but if in the Dubuque neck-of-the-woods, I’d certainly enjoy one of your homebrews and corn on the cob. I haven’t experienced Iowa hospitality since I almost got lynched by a bunch of government social workers in Des Moines in 1990. They were a bit edgy about my speech that said their job training program was a scam on trainees.
